Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur could now be able to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United for £40 million.

According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United are willing to sell Harry Maguire, linked with Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, if they get £40 million for him.

While the Red Devils are not actively trying to push Maguire out of Old Trafford, they will cash in on the £80 million England international defender if they are able to get £40 million for him.

The Daily Star have reported that Tottenham striker Harry Kane wants his club to bring in Maguire from United in the summer of 2023.

London World have claimed that Spurs are in talks over signing the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) defender.

Should Tottenham Hotspur pay £40m for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should bid £40 million for Harry Maguire, if indeed they are keen on signing the Manchester United defender in the summer transfer window.

True, Maguire has not been at his best at United, but we have seen him play extremely well for England.

And the defender did very well at Leicester City.

Tottenham need better defenders than they have at the moment if they are to compete for the Premier League top four next season and beyond.

Maguire is hugely experienced and is a leader at the back, and we believe that he would make Spurs better, stronger and more solid at the back.

The Burkina Faso international has been brilliant for Leverkusen.

Tottenham Hotspur talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba will take place in these next few days, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Who will join Spurs this summer?
Spurs are set to bolster their squad this summer as chairman Daniel Levy, buoyed by the incoming new manager Ange Postecoglou, looks to this transfer window for upgrades.

A major overhaul is possible too with Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic, Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier and Ben Davies’ futures all hanging in the balance. Meanwwhile, Spurs could also attempt to sell Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks (The Telegraph).

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is another player who could make way and free up space for Postecoglou signings before the start of 2023/2024.

In terms of who they could be, Spurs are reliably believed to be closing in on Lloris’ successor, with Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario set to undergo a medical this weekend ahead of his proposed move.

Tottenham are also chasing a central defender, with Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo among the targets. However, Tapsoba appears to be taking centre stage, as some reports suggest he is likely to join if an official approach is made.

If that is indeed the case, reliable reporter Romano may have good news for Spurs supporters, as it is now expected that the north Londoners will imminently open formal talks.

The Burkina Faso international is apparently top of their transfer list, and in the next few days, negotiations over his signing will commence.

What’s been said about Edmond Tapsoba?
Commentator Mark Lovell is among Tapsoba’s biggest fans, calling him “top quality” all the way back in 2020, and it’s safe to say the defender has maintained that form as a consistent starter for Leverkusen right now.

Meanwhile, at international level, Tapsoba has been described as “fundamental” in past seasons by journalist Bruno Alemany.

REPORT: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR NOW WANT TO SIGN £65,000-A-WEEK WEST HAM FORWARD

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are now being linked with West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen.

According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur have West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen on their radar.

Spurs are looking at the £65,000-a-week (The Times) star as a potential alternative to Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes.

The report has claimed that Bowen is on Tottenham’s “list of homegrown targets”, but Spurs accept that London and Premier League rivals West Ham will not sell him because they are about to let go of Declan Rice in the summer of 2023.

The Athletic have added that the 26-year-old, who can operate as a winger, forward or attacking midfielder,”has been on Spurs’ radar for several years”.

Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Jarrod Bowen from West Ham United?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur will be unable to sign Jarrod Bowen from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Yes, of course, money talks, but once the Hammers have cashed in on Rice, they will not need to sell any of their players if they do not want to.

Bowen is an important player in manager David Moyes’s team, and the Hammers will know that it will not be easy to find a suitable replacement for the former Hull City star.

The England international attacker made 36 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for West Ham last season.

Bowen scored six goals and gave five assists in those games.

The West Ham no. 20 also scored three goals in seven UEFA Europa Conference League appearances last season, as the Hammers won the competition.
