Anfield paid tribute to a departing Liverpool great against Aston Villa with the whole ground rising to send Roberto Firmino off with a chorus of ‘Si Señor’.

It is difficult to quite do Roberto Firmino’s contributions justice with words alone but the send-off he received from his adoring supporters at Anfield during his final Liverpool match told its own story.

The Brazilian has delighted those on the Kop for the best part of eight years, with his efforts having been integral to the success of the Jürgen Klopp era. The fan-favorite was nothing short of a humble genius during his time at Anfield, with his ability to combine sublime moments with a workmanlike approach endearing him to his teammates and those on the terraces.

It would not be hyperbole to suggest that the forward will go down as one of the club’s greatest ever forwards, with his legacy as a synonymous component of Klopp’s glory days secure. The bubbly character came alive on the pitch, with his efforts so often littered with Samba flamboyance.
