REPORT: Aston villa has signed inter Milan,Newcastle & Liverpool  target which is faster and better than John McGinn

Inter Milan could join Newcastle United and Aston Villa in the race to sign Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi this summer.

This according to French broadcaster TF1, via FC Inter News, who report that the Nerazzurri are among the clubs chasing the 24-year-old former Arsenal midfielder this summer as he looks likely to leave the Stade Velodrome during the transfer window.

French international midfielder Guendouzi is reportedly set to leave Marseille this summer.

The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour in the Ligue 1 giants’ team in recent months.

TF1 do note, however, that the departure of Igor Tudor as coach could change things for Guendouzi’s future. If the ex-Hellas Verona boss’s replacement rates Gunedouzi as an important part of the plans for next season, he could stick around.

However, according to the French broadcaster, the likeliest outcome currently looks to be Gunedouzi leaving.

Inter Join Newcastle & Villa In Race To Sign Matteo Guendouzi
Should Guendouzi indeed depart this summer, there would be no shortage of suitors for him.

Acccording to TF1, teams in the Premier League are interested in bringing the Frenchman back to England.

Aston Villa, currently coached by former Arsenal coach Unai Emery, are interested. The Spanish tactician had been the coach who brought Guendouzi to Arsenal to begin with.

However, the Frenchman eventually fell out of favour with current Gunners coach Mikel Arteta.

This led to Guendouzi first joining Hertha Berlin on loan in the summer of 2020, and then Marseille.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are also keen on bringing Guendouzi back to English football. The Magpies are working to strengthen their squad for next season as they make their return to the Champions League.

According to TF1, Inter would also be ready to reignite their pursuit of Guendouzi from when he was an Arsenal player.

Roberto Gagliardini will leave the Nerazzurri this summer, whilst Marcelo Brozovic could follow him out the door. Guendouzi is among the targets Inter are thinking of to bolster their midfield according to TF1.

La Liga star could also be available for significantly less than his release clause, Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor has told GIVEMESPORT

Aston Villa will be looking at Villarreal defender Pau Torres this summer with the player available for ‘significantly less’ than his release clease, Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor has told GIVEMESPORT.

Torres starred under the current Villa boss at Villarreal, where they won the 2021 Europa League in Emery’s only full season at the club. Taylor believes the centre back is still ‘highly rated’ by his former coach.

Aston Villa transfer news – Pau Torres

The 26-year-old Spain international looks set to leave Villarreal this summer, the club with which he has spent his entire career to date bar one season-long loan to Malaga.

According to 90min, Torres has a £43 million release clause (€50 million) in his contract, which is due to expire at the end of next season. According to the same source Villa are also interested in Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte, who has a similar profile to Torres as they are both ball-playing, left-footed centre backs.

Birmingham Live, meanwhile, believe that a ‘formal offer’ for the player has been made but that the Midlands club face stiff competition from Juventus for the player’s signature.

What has Taylor said about Aston Villa and Torres?

Taylor told GIVEMESPORT: “I think they’ll be looking at Torres. Torres has one year left on his contract and a substantial release clause, but I think Villarreal will probably sell for significantly less than that this summer. The only thing I’d probably say is that he is a left-sided centre back and they do have Tyrone Mings and Diego Carlos at the moment. So I’m not sure whether it is 100% viable, but he’s a player highly rated by Emery.”

Is Torres a worthwhile signing for Villa given their current options at left centre-back?

The current occupier of that position, Tyrone Mings, has been in the form of his life for Villa this season and is not someone the club urgently need to upgrade moving forward. Similarly, Diego Carlos missed almost the entirety of the season through injury and should be given a chance to prove his worth under Emery following his acquisition from Sevilla, where he formed one of the best defensive partnerships in La Liga alongside Jules Kounde.

While Torres is a quality player, he is not someone Villa desperately need. If Emery does truly want the player, however, then the club should trust his judgement. As a right-footer, Carlos should have no problem competing for that right-sided spot with Ezri Konsa. With all four, Villa would have a Champions League-level rotation of central defenders.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino would prefer for Kalidou Koulibaly to stay at Stamford Bridge, believes journalist Dean Jones.

The defender only joined the Blues last summer but is already being linked with a move away from west London after a difficult season.

Chelsea transfer news — Kalidou Koulibaly

According to Italian outlet la Repubblica (via FCInterNews), Chelsea are ready to offer Koulibaly to Inter Milan in a deal for André Onana.

Last month, journalist Rudy Galetti told GIVEMESPORT that the Blues are “seriously interested” in signing the goalkeeper this summer.

Whether Inter would be willing to accept an offer that would see Koulibaly head in the other direction, though, remains to be seen.

Chelsea bought the 31-year-old from Napoli in a deal worth around £33m, as reported by Sky Sports. Spotrac claims that he’s earning £295,000 a week in west London.

What has Dean Jones said about Kalidou Koulibaly and Mauricio Pochettino?

Jones thinks Pochettino’s preference is for Koulibaly to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “I think Pochettino would prefer him to stay, and I think that the club’s stance is that they looked at this guy for a long time, they invested in it and they were confident they’d made a really good transfer and the first year hasn’t gone brilliantly.”

How did Kalidou Koulibaly perform this season?

The 2022/23 campaign didn’t go to plan for Koulibaly. Much was expected of the Senegalese centre-back, who arrived at Chelsea to replace Antonio Rüdiger.

During his time at Napoli, he was easily one of the best central defenders in Serie A. “He really is remarkable,” his former manager Luciano Spalletti told DAZN (via Football Italia) back in 2021.

“He always adds those two or three notches more than anyone else. He’s an extraordinary leader and a great man. We are what we do, not what we say.”

However, Koulibaly hasn’t been able to transfer his Serie A form to the Premier League. As per Transfer markt, he only managed to make 20 top-flight starts this season and was sent off in only his third game, a 3-0 loss away at Leeds United.
