Report : Aston Villa has signed a talented midfielder from English club   English club  DONE DEAL

The Daily Mail claim that Leeds United have agreed to sell Tyler Roberts to Birmingham City and the report states that a move will be done early next week, with talks expected to continue over the weekend – over a £750,000 deal.

Roberts, 24, is clearly surplus to requirements at Elland Road after leaving the club last summer to join QPR on loan. He struggled with the London side, injuries limiting the Wales star to four goals in 20 games. Now, he is off again.

Birmingham City have agreed to sell Jobe Bellingham to Sunderland. Meanwhile, his older brother Jude Bellingham has gone to Real Madrid. The Mirror say Birmingham City will rake in £10m from a deal that could reach £155m.

So, the Blues have some cash to spend and Phil Hay reported on Thursday morning that Leeds and Birmingham were in talks for Roberts to return to the Midlands. He joined Leeds in January 2018 from West Bromwich Albion.

Now, he is set to return closer to home – Roberts was born in Gloucestershire – with a move to the Blues. The Mail share some details on the deal, claiming it is worth £750k plus add-ons. A deal is expected to occur next week.

£750k Tyler Roberts move to Birmingham will be done early next week

Roberts cost Leeds an initial £2.5m, with add-ons taking a deal to £4m. Most of those add-ons are likely to have been met given Roberts has played internationally, gained promotion and clocked up 108 games for the Whites.

So, it looks as if Leeds are going to be cashing in on Roberts for a much smaller fee at £750k. It is unclear what type of add-ons will be included in the deal – but even if it takes a fee to £1m, it is still only a quarter of what we paid.
