Kaide Gordon is set for pre-season training return later this month – ending close to year-and-a-half out with injury

Talented young Liverpool winger Kaide Gordon is scheduled to return to practice later this month after missing the previous 17 months due to a pelvic issue.

Since February 2022, the 18-year-old has been unable to play for the Reds at any level due to a problem that has been connected to his development. But after being out for early work on grass last month, this preseason will be a wonderful culmination.

The young hero, who scored against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup in January 2022 to become Liverpool’s youngest-ever scorer, is a gifted right-winger who aspires to emulate Mohamed Salah due to his left-footedness.

Gordon joined the Reds from Derby County in 2021 and has since appeared four times for the first team, earning a Premier League appearance last season as a substitute against Brentford.

Gordon had begun hesitant ball work and had been sprinting on the field at the AXA Training Center, as the ECHO had reported back in June. In order to speed up his recuperation, the young person had been pursuing a specialized exercise regimen.

It looks that the player may now resume team training after Liverpool recently said he would soon.

The Athletic claimed on Wednesday that Gordon will make a full recovery in two weeks, beginning with the club’s U21 team to regain his shape and conditioning. Barry Lewtas, the manager of Liverpool’s U21 team, has already mentioned the need for prudence in not hurrying the youngster back, although issues because of the type of his injury may arise.

What makes certain injuries challenging, especially for growing young males, is their complexity, according to Lewtas. It’s not like when a bone is broken, the bone heals, and you continue to crack.

Lewtas was cautious not to raise the bar too much because his comeback to training came after a shift in his body, a situation that required some adjusting.

“Some of these injuries are more complex, and unfortunately Kaide has had one of those,” he continued. Kaide is now taller and more substantial than he was when he last played, and it has been related to his growth.

We always knew not to set a deadline since we knew it may take a while and we didn’t want to raise his expectations too much. We also wanted to maintain him in the appropriate state of mind. Given that he is a player who has already achieved success, it doesn’t raise expectations for anybody else.

“He’s been running around the pitch a little bit more, and we’ll see how he goes.”

Liverpool warned they’ve made huge transfer mistake by overlooking “magical” option…. See more ..
June 27, 2023 admin

Klopp
Mateo Kovacic, who is headed to Manchester City, would have been the perfect addition for Liverpool if they had been in the market for midfielders this summer.

David James said that Liverpool should have signed the “magical” Mateo Kovacic because the Croatian would have fit the Reds.

Manchester City appears prepared to pounce and pay £30 million to acquire the midfielder from Chelsea. Liverpool also needs to improve their alternatives in the middle of the park, but Pep Guardiola is seeking for midfield players as he gets ready for multiple departures from that area.

With Alexis Mac Allister arriving from Brighton, a number of veterans were permitted to go Anfield, but more fresh faces are anticipated. James is certain that Kovacic would have fitted Jurgen Klopp’s approach even though he has questions about how Kovacic would fit into City’s system.

“Someone who plays like Mateo Kovacic does, I would have thought, would be more suited to Liverpool than Manchester City,” he said to King Casino Bonus. I’ve been buzzing off this man for a while now; from the way he scoops up the ball and breezes past lines, it appears as though he is always going 100 miles per hour. His playing has a magical quality about it.

“Since Jurgen Klopp took over, Liverpool has played with a lot of speed, energy, and pace, and someone like Kovacic would be ideal for that.” Just take a look at Kevin de Bruyne’s passing statistics to see how much slower and less dependent on sprinting with the ball Man City plays.

Mateo Kovacic
“Kovacic isn’t the kind of player I expected Man City would be pursuing, but Pep Guardiola might be considering having a tactical rethink again. However, Erling Haaland wasn’t either, so that was okay. However, I believe that a player like Kovacic joining Liverpool would be a fantastic fit.

Chelsea is expected to lose money on Kovacic, who they acquired from Real Madrid, as a result of their recent heavy investment and need to let players go in order to balance their books. City will benefit from that as they look for a successor for Ilkay Gundogan while Bernardo Silva may still leave the team.

Liverpool finished fifth, and Klopp’s failure to sign a key midfield player last summer came back to haunt him. With veterans like Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, and Thiago as well as teenagers Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, their options in midfield are aging.

The Reds are still associated with a number of people, mostly foreigners. Their recruiting was praised as the gold standard throughout Europe for years, but they haven’t had the same success recently in the transfer market.

Kylian Mbappe: Paris Saint-Germain believe France forward has already agreed to join Real Madrid in summer of 2024

Kylian Mbappe has been given deadline of July 31 to commit to staying at PSG until at least summer of 2025, otherwise he will be sold to highest bidder next month; France forward’s deal runs out in 2024 but PSG had been expecting him to exercise the option to extend it by 12 months

Paris Saint-Germain believe Kylian Mbappe has already agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

Mbappe was sent a letter by PSG on Monday making it clear he would be sold this summer unless he agrees to extend his contract before the end of this month.

If he does not extend, PSG will sell him as quickly as possible to the highest bidder – and they do not care where he goes.

There will be no emotion and any potential transfer would be purely transactional.

In the past it has been thought that PSG would prefer not do business with Real Madrid, but if Mbappe does not extend his contract, they will sell him to anyone who can afford to buy him

The asking price is likely to be about £150m.

In Monday’s letter, PSG told Mbappe his decision not to extend his contract has caused the club enormous harm
