Liverpool transfer news LIVE – Alexis Mac Allister close, Manu Kone price, Moises Caicedo links

With the transfer window open and Jorg Schmadtke starting work at Liverpool, expect movement soon enough with Jurgen Klopp wanting to secure his targets as soon as possible.

Alexis Mac Allister is at the top of Klopp’s agenda and the German is thought to be close to securing the Argentine World Cup winner as his first capture of the summer.

Liverpool are not stopping at Mac Allister with their pursuit of midfielders as Manu Kone could be next to arrive at Anfield. The Reds know what they must pay Borussia Monchengladbach in order to secure their target.

Deal close

Alexis Mac Alliser could be the next hero for the Liverpool fans to adore with the Argentina World Cup winner reportedly close to securing a switch to Anfield from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The move for Mac Allister is likely to cost Liverpool below the £70 million that was initially stated. It has been reported he could wear the number 10 shirt at Anfield.

Player of the Season?

Who should be Liverpool’s Player of the Season? Unlike previous years, there aren’t many candidates for the prize and it is most likely to come down to who wins out of Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker.

Salah hit 30 goals in all competitions once again while Alisson was at his imperious best in goal. Where would Liverpool have been without them both?
