Liverpool has signed a world cup player who has the capability and capable of doing the impossibility In football aspects

Bruno was one of Newcastle’s standout players as they secured Champions League football last season. The Brazilian’s brilliant displays in the middle of the park have led to claims that Liverpool have fallen in love with him.

But reporting for CaughtOffside today, journalist Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the idea of Bruno leaving St James’ Park.

Romano himself is one of those to have previously claimed that the 25-year-old is admired at Anfield. But today, he claims that Newcastle are readying a play to ensure Bruno stays in black and white.

“Newcastle consider Bruno Guimaraes’ contract extension as a top priority,” writes the transfer expert. “Talks took place recently and are set to continue in the next weeks. Newcastle are insisting on securing Guimaraes’ future, likely with a huge pay rise.”

Newcastle priorities Bruno extension

It isn’t difficult to see why Liverpool are so enamoured by Bruno. The Brazil international has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since his £40m move 18 months ago.

But at this stage, it would be a huge surprise if they were able to tempt him to Anfield. In fact, journalist Ben Jacobs recently predicted that it would be the ‘shock of the summer’ if the move were to happen.

Instead, it seems ever more likely that Bruno will sign a new deal and continue his role as a key man in Newcastle’s revitalisation.

Nevertheless, surprising things happen all the time in football. Despite their newfound riches, Liverpool should remain a greater draw to most players.

The Reds can offer better salaries than their North Eastern counterparts. If Bruno doesn’t like the offer he gets from Newcastle, maybe there’s a small window there.

Still, it isn’t as though there’s much leverage to be had. The former Lyon man has three years to run on his contract and would command an enormous fee for Newcastle to even entertain selling him.

So, yes, it looks like this one is beyond Liverpool – or anyone really. But that won’t stop them from admiring Bruno. Things can go wrong in contract negotiations, the Reds have to make sure they’re in a position to capitalise if that happens here.

Sources: Genuine Liverpool attempt to sign Real Madrid superstar revealed after Chelsea, Man…

Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool have all made real attempts to try and land Real Madrid star Fede Valverde this summer, TEAMtalk understands.

The Uruguayan sensation can play anywhere across the forward line or midfield and has proven to be a key part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in recent years.

However, following the arrival of Jude Bellingham, in what could prove to be a club-record for deal for Madrid, some clubs wanted to check on Valverde’s situation.

After all, Bellingham has added further quality to a midfield department that also already consists of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga for the long term, in addition to Valverde.

TEAMtalk understands that City, Chelsea and Liverpool all made enquiries with Madrid and representatives close to the player – but the message was clear that Valverde is not looking to move and Real are not looking to sell.

The former Penarol prospect’s contract at the Bernabeu is still due to last until 2027. Valverde has made 204 appearances for Madrid across his career, including 56 this season. It was the best goalscoring campaign of his career, as he netted 12 of the 18 goals he has ever got for Real.

Earlier this month, Valverde denied he would be looking to leave the club this summer.

He told ESPN Argentina: “No, no, no, I’m at Real Madrid, trying to enjoy every moment and to continue leaving my mark on this team, which is the best in the world.

“I want to keep winning titles for the fans.”

Fede Valverde ready to continue Real Madrid journey

Valverde has won La Liga twice with Los Blancos and the Champions League once. This season, he added a winner’s medal from the Copa del Rey to his cabinet. He has also won the Supercopa de Espana and the FIFA Club World Cup twice each, and the UEFA Super Cup once.

This season, his gametime was split almost equally between a central midfield role and one on the right wing. Therefore, there would have been various ways he could have been useful to any of his three admirers in the Premier League.

All of them could reconstruct their midfields to some degree this summer. For instance, Liverpool have already offloaded James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, before bringing in Alexis Mac Allister.

Meanwhile, Man City captain Ilkay Gundogan is approaching the end of his contract. Coincidentally, one of the players in line to either replace or join him at the Etihad Stadium is Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic.

In addition to Kovacic, Chelsea have been tipped to say goodbye to N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount from their midfield this summer, among others.
