‘WE’RE TOLD’: SKY REPORTER SHARES HOW HARRY KANE WILL REACT IF TOTTENHAM-BAYERN TRANSFER COLLAPSES

Paul Gilmour says Harry Kane will be ‘relaxed’ if his rumoured transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich collapses this summer.

On Monday, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy met with senior officials from Bayern Munich to discuss the transfer of the London club’s star striker.

As of this moment, a deal hasn’t been struck, with Sky Sports reporting that the German giants are around ‘£20 million’ short of securing Harry Kane’s talents.

The 30-year-old has less than 12 months left on his contract, so if he doesn’t leave this summer, then he will have his pick of whoever he wants in 12 months.

From the perspective of someone like Levy, that opens the door for Kane to join another Premier League side in 2024, that’s why he is probably willing to meet with Bayern officials.

Either way, this is still Levy and anything can happen, including Kane staying, and if that scenario becomes reality, then the England skipper won’t throw up a fuss, as Gilmour reported on Sky Sports.

“If a deal is agreed, then we understand that Harry Kane would be keen to formally speak with Bayern Munich,” said Gilmour.

“If a deal isn’t agreed, then we are also told that he is quite relaxed. He will simply get on with his football with Tottenham, knowing he is in a strong position in the next year or so.”

Kane in Bayern colours next season
A certain Alan Shearer is going to be jumping with joy, if this rumoured transfer goes through, with Ian Wright laughing at that matter recently.

But whilst that all-time Premier League goals record can wait, Kane at Bayern next season means that he will finally end his long-waited trophy drought.

It also increases Bayern’s chances of winning the European Cup because, in recent years, they haven’t been anywhere near it.

A report from BBC Sport suggests that new Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana wasn’t pleased with the England international.

Time is running out for new manager Ange Postecoglou to find a solution at centre-back before the season kicks off.

Tottenham’s defence was leaky, to say the least last season and those issues have already arisen in pre-season.

Spurs ran out 5-1 winners against Lion City Sailors, but the Singaporean side still managed to capitalise on a mistake at the back.

Postecoglou’s side have been linked with plenty of defenders this summer, including Harry Maguire.

West Ham are also keen, but a move to Tottenham is likely to appeal more given the status of the club, even if they’re not in European competition.

A move to Tottenham could help rebuild Maguire’s confidence, especially if his current Man United teammates aren’t pleased with him.

He needs to move on this summer, especially after having the captaincy taken away, and Spurs might be the right destination.

Tottenham target Maguire screamed at by Man United teammate

The report from BBC Sport suggests that Onana was not happy with Maguire during their 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund this morning.

A slack pass from Maguire to Christian Eriksen gifted Dortmund a chance, but Onana bailed his teammate out.

He then had a ‘furious rant’ at Maguire and ‘raced from his goal to berate’ the centre-back.

Maguire has been valued by Man United at £30m this summer, which would make him one of the most expensive players Tottenham are targeting.
