‘I heard’: Liverpool are now looking at signing ‘world class’ Bayern Munich player – journalist

Liverpool are looking to sign the German midfielder, Leon Goretzka who is considered to be ‘world class’ and is available for a fee of around €40m-€50m this summer.

Speaking on The Transfer Exchange Show, Steve Kay was discussing some of the potential targets in the midfield market this summer.

The usual targets such as Amrabat and Kalvin Phillips were once again brought up. However, the journalist also mentioned that he heard that the Reds are looking to sign Leon Goretzka this summer.

The ‘world-class’ German midfielder may be on the market and a potential move to Anfield might be on the cards.

Goretzka on the Liverpool radar

The journalist shared what he knows about the Goretzka-Liverpool saga.

“He’s (Amrabat) a quality player and I think Liverpool are looking at him as well, and I think Liverpool are also looking at Goretzka I heard tonight.“

These might be rumours only but the midfielder is an ideal player for Klopp. He would be the tough, no-nonsense midfielder that he always has been.

Having been playing his whole life in the Bundesliga, he is accustomed to the ‘heavy metal football’ that the PL needs.

And especially Klopp, who emphasizes constant pressing to the opposition will be looking forward to recruiting such a player.

Also, he would be an experienced player that would fit in the starting XI without the need of adjusting.

This could be a huge factor as the other targets are all inexperienced when it comes to playing European football.

Moreover, with Bayern targeting Harry Kane this summer, they would be needing some funds. Since the Englishman doesn’t come cheap, rumours suggest that they might be off-loading the likes of Kimmich and Goretzka.

The German international has won everything at club level with the Bundesliga giants. Moreover, there had been interest in the player before and we might see a revisit from the Reds this summer.

LIVERPOOLReport – Liverpool approves agent the signing of £154,000-a-week starPublished 19 hours ago on July 18, 2023By matchlivenews

Report – Liverpool approves agent the signing of £154,000-a-week star

Reports from Italian media outlets suggest that Liverpool have expressed interest in acquiring the talented Italian winger, Federico Chiesa.

While Chiesa’s performance at the European Championships caught the attention of many, his recent injury history raises concerns.

Liverpool Contemplates £47.2 Million Player

Juventus, his current club, has set a price tag of £47.2 million for the player, sparking a debate on whether Liverpool should make the investment.

The renowned Italian publication, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, highlights Liverpool’s alleged approval of Chiesa’s signing.

However, Liverpool have yet to make a formal offer, with the club only conducting generic surveys at this stage.

Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has been tasked with finding a more prominent club for the 25-year-old attacker.

Chiesa Snubs Aston Villa: Liverpool?

Chiesa’s potential move to Aston Villa was reportedly rejected, as he sought a more ambitious destination.

Rumors suggest that Liverpool and Newcastle United are being considered as potential suitors, although no concrete offers have been submitted thus far.

Chiesa’s contract with Juventus is set to expire in two years, and he currently earns around £154,000 per week.

The player’s history is marked by a serious knee injury in January 2022, which sidelined him for over a year.

Uncertain Future: Chiesa’s Liverpool Prospects

While he has recently returned to training, his future at Juventus remains uncertain.

HBAgency

Juventus value Chiesa highly and has set a price of £47.2 million for potential buyers, having initially paid £60 million to acquire him from Fiorentina.

Liverpool’s interest in Chiesa comes at a time when the team has faced challenges due to injuries to key attacking players such as Bobby, Diaz, and Jota.

However, it is important to consider whether signing an attacker with a limited recent playing record due to injuries would be a wise investment.

🚨| 🇮🇹 | Juventus are travelling to London to meet with clubs regarding Federico Chiesa, Newcastle are expected to be one of them. — The Gallowgate Report ⚫️⚪️ (@TheGallowgateR) July 12, 2023

Liverpool finds itself at a crossroads, considering the acquisition of Federico Chiesa.

While the player’s exceptional performance in 2021 and his potential could greatly benefit the team, his recent injury history raises legitimate concerns.

The club must carefully evaluate the risks and benefits of such a move, considering the significant fee demanded by Juventus.

Ultimately, the decision lies with Liverpool’s management, who must determine whether Chiesa’s talent outweighs the potential risks associated with his injury history.

Watch LIVE Karlsruher SC vs Liverpool FC (Club Friendlies).

On Wednesday, Liverpool will face Karlsruher SC, a team from Germany’s second division, in a preseason friendly at Wildparkstadion.

While in Jurgen Klopp’s native Germany for a training camp, his team will face Greuther Furth, whose players have previously played in five preseason games.

Bundesliga winners in the 1908–09 season, Karlsruher have bounced between Germany’s second and third divisions since their last stint in the top flight ended abruptly in 2009.

Christian Eichner, 40, has been the head coach of the team since before the coronavirus lockdown in February 2020. Since their promotion back to the 2. Bundesliga in 2019, the team has yo-yoed between the bottom half and the top half of the standings.

Karlsruher had an adequate 2022–2023 season, finishing in seventh place despite being closer to the relegation zone than the runaway top three. They were 20 points behind bronze medalists Hamburger SV.

After dominating in five preseason matches, including an astonishing 18-0 rout of Ketsch, Karlsruher is ready to make some noise at the top of the standings in their sixth consecutive season of second-division football.

Karlsruher has already beaten Turkgucu Munchen, AE Zakakiou, and Balingen this summer, but Eichner’s team was blown out 3-0 by Viktoria Plzen on July 10 and can not expect miracles against a Liverpool crop with just a few points to prove.

Next season, the Reds will play in the Europa League on Thursday nights instead of Tuesday and Wednesday, marking the first time since Klopp’s debut season on Merseyside in 2015-16 that Anfield will not feature the brilliant lights of the Champions League on those nights.

Even though injuries plagued Liverpool all year and they rarely lost inside their fortress at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s team finished fifth in the Premier League, four points behind Newcastle United for the final Champions League qualifying spot.

The Reds’ decision not to pursue a new permanent midfielder last summer severely hampered their chances of competing for Jude Bellingham, and it came at a time when the club’s ownership was in limbo for a few months before the reviled John W. Henry ruled out a full sale of the club.

Liverpool finished the season well, going 11 games without a loss and winning seven in a row before a draw with Aston Villa on the previous to last weekend dashed any faint chances of making the Champions League.

After finishing off their tour of Germany, Liverpool will play Leicester City and Bayern Munich in Singapore before finishing out their Deutschland sequence with an exhibition match against SV Darmstadt 98 in Deepdale, the home of Preston North End.
