Liverpool will make their third and final bid for Southampton star Romeo LaviaLiverpool are planning a last-ditch effort to sign Southampton star Romeo Lavia, according to reports.

The Reds have been heavily linked with the 19-year-old midfielder in recent weeks. Liverpool have so far submitted two bids, both of which Lavia’s club have rejected as too low.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now provided an update on Twitter that bodes well for the Reds.

Liverpool are apparently ready to make a third and final bid for Lavia.

He wrote that the imminent offer from the Anfield outfit “is in line with Saints transfer expectations of £40m + add-ons”.

It suggests that Liverpool’s bid would reach £50m if City’s 20% sell-on clause was taken into account.

Lavia’s camp are now apparently “just” waiting for the Reds to make an offer to Southampton.

Even better for Liverpool, the Belgian has “informed the club” that he “wants to join the Reds”.

The Reds also appear to have faced no opposition as they appear to be “the only team that can make such an offer at the moment”.
