Sad News set of Colombia women’s attended Luis Diaz father’s funeral ⚱️ Dias mum captured crying 😭

Conditions Set by Kidnappers for the Release of Luis Diaz’s Father in EPL

The release of Manuel Diaz, the father of Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, is being demanded by his kidnappers, who have requested certain assurances from the Colombian government.

Manuel Diaz was abducted by the left-wing ELN guerrilla organization nine days ago, and despite their promise to release him, they have not yet followed through.

In a statement signed by Commander Jose Manuel Martinez Quiroz, one of the unit leaders, the guerrilla group has asked for the cessation of security operations to avoid any further delays.

The statement reads, “On November 2, we informed the country about our decision to release Mr. Luis Manuel Díaz, the father of the player Luis Díaz. Since that day, we have been working to expedite the process. We are making every effort to prevent any incidents with government forces.”

The group further expresses their concern, stating, “The area is still heavily militarized with flyovers, troop disembarkments, broadcasting, and reward offers as part of an intense search operation. This situation hinders the quick and safe execution of our release plan, without putting Mr. Luis Manuel Díaz at risk.

“Continued operations in the vicinity will only delay the release and increase the risks involved. We understand the distress of the Díaz Marulanda family and assure them that we will keep our word to release him unilaterally as soon as we have the necessary security guarantees for the liberation operation.”

Barcelona have included Victor Osimhen on their list of candidates to replace Robert Lewandowski.

 

 

The Nigerian forward is thought to be a premium option available to the LaLiga champions but they must first free up the funds to satisfy Napoli’s valuation.

 

Lewandowski, 35, scored 23 times in the league last season but will eventually be phased out as Barca look for a suitable heir to the No9 shirt.

Victor Osimhen has suggested he would prefer a move to Major League Soccer, rather than head to the Saudi Pro League.

 

Speaking in a Twitch interview with Emiliano Viviano and former Italy forward Mario Balotelli, he said: “If I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS.

 

“They are trying to develop their [Saudi Pro] League, which is good. [But] I am happy at Napoli.”

Potential bidders for Victor Osimhen will now be on high alert after comments from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
