According to recent rumours, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ligue 1 midfielder Maxence Caqueret, but they are not the only club interested.

According to FootMercato, Maxence Caqueret is being considered by two clubs in Europe. Tottenham is one of the teams, while Borussia Dortmund is from the Bundesliga.

For the time being, the report suggests that the Premier League club may prioritize other targets. Regardless, they may have to shift their focus to Caqueret.

With Spurs under a new manager, there will no doubt be a lot of players identified to see who fits the profile of Ange Postecoglou more.

Caqueret is a central midfielder who has played 19 times for France U21.

He had a very productive season in Ligue 1 this season, appearing in 36 games. Caqueret had four goals and seven assists in these games.

Breaking the Lines, a scouting website, rated him ‘immense’ and ‘one of the top pressers in Europe’ in 2021.

Spurs might gain an advantage by signing the guy, who is a very good all-round midfielder who can defend and attack.

They must completely rebuild. Finishing ninth in the Premier League is insufficient. They invest a lot of money and hope to be in the top four.

Postecoglou will face a lot of pressure to ensure that the club does not lose out on European qualification again.
