LIVERPOOLReport – WELCOME TO ANFIELD  €195m DONE DEAL ✅

Report – Liverpool approves agent the signing of £154,000-a-week star

Reports from Italian media outlets suggest that Liverpool have expressed interest in acquiring the talented Italian winger, Federico Chiesa.

While Chiesa’s performance at the European Championships caught the attention of many, his recent injury history raises concerns.

Liverpool Contemplates £47.2 Million Player

Juventus, his current club, has set a price tag of £47.2 million for the player, sparking a debate on whether Liverpool should make the investment.

The renowned Italian publication, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, highlights Liverpool’s alleged approval of Chiesa’s signing.

However, Liverpool have yet to make a formal offer, with the club only conducting generic surveys at this stage.

Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has been tasked with finding a more prominent club for the 25-year-old attacker.

Chiesa Snubs Aston Villa: Liverpool?

Chiesa’s potential move to Aston Villa was reportedly rejected, as he sought a more ambitious destination.

Rumors suggest that Liverpool and Newcastle United are being considered as potential suitors, although no concrete offers have been submitted thus far.

Chiesa’s contract with Juventus is set to expire in two years, and he currently earns around £154,000 per week.

The player’s history is marked by a serious knee injury in January 2022, which sidelined him for over a year.

Uncertain Future: Chiesa’s Liverpool Prospects

While he has recently returned to training, his future at Juventus remains uncertain.

HBAgency
Juventus value Chiesa highly and has set a price of £47.2 million for potential buyers, having initially paid £60 million to acquire him from Fiorentina.

Liverpool’s interest in Chiesa comes at a time when the team has faced challenges due to injuries to key attacking players such as Bobby, Diaz, and Jota.

However, it is important to consider whether signing an attacker with a limited recent playing record due to injuries would be a wise investment.

— The Gallowgate Report ⚫️⚪️ (@TheGallowgateR) July 12, 2023

Liverpool finds itself at a crossroads, considering the acquisition of Federico Chiesa.

While the player’s exceptional performance in 2021 and his potential could greatly benefit the team, his recent injury history raises legitimate concerns.

The club must carefully evaluate the risks and benefits of such a move, considering the significant fee demanded by Juventus.

Ultimately, the decision lies with Liverpool’s management, who must determine whether Chiesa’s talent outweighs the potential risks associated with his injury history.

Liverpool now working on two midfield signings – Sources

HBAgency

Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp are keen to add two more midfield signings this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

This news comes in the wake of imminent departures for Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabian clubs.

HBAgency

Football Insider revealed on Monday (17 July) that Liverpool expect to lose both stars this week for a combined fee of around £50million – with Henderson and Fabinho now completing the formalities of their transfers.

The Reds had already been left short in midfield by the departures of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner at the end of their respective contracts.

Liverpool have moved to add Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai already this summer, but are now turning their attention to further reinforcements.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that a defensive midfielder is seen as a “must” – with the impact of Fabinho’s departure set to take its toll on the Merseysiders’ squad.

A separate arrival will be lined up to replace Henderson, who plays in a more conventional central midfield berth.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (17 July) that Liverpool are exploring a potential move for Crystal Palace defensive midfielder Cheick Doucoure following his impressive first season in English football.

The Reds have concrete interest in a host of other names, including Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, Borussia Monchengladbach star Manu Kone – and Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram.

Sources told Football Insider last week (14 July) that Southampton will need to sell Liverpool target Lavia this summer following their relegation to the Championship.

Klopp’s side will play Europa League football in the 2023-24 campaign following a disappointing fifth-place finish last term.

In other news, Arsenal prepare new move for Liverpool target.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, had a relatively quiet transfer window compared to other of their Premier League competitors because he plans to restructure his team in the summer

It’s fair to assume that Liverpool’s current campaign isn’t their best under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds are in severe danger of missing out on Champions League football next season as they now sit ninth in the Premier League, 10 points behind Manchester United in fourth with a game remaining. Additionally, they were eliminated from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Therefore, Klopp should have updated his team in January, but Liverpool had a rather quiet month. Cody Gakpo, who left PSV Eindhoven for £45 million just before the transfer window opened, was their lone acquisition.

Gakpo, 23, was regarded by Liverpool as a victory. The international from the Netherlands had an outstanding start to the season with PSV, recording nine goals and 12 assists in 14 Eredivisie contests. At the most recent World Cup in Qatar, he also scored three goals.

Gakpo, though, has so far been unable to duplicate that form in England. In his first five games for Liverpool under Klopp, he failed to score or record an assist, leaving some supporters to question whether he is the genuine deal. Gakpo needs to disprove his detractors.

In terms of departures, only Jake Cain permanently left Anfield in January. The 21-year-old midfielder signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Swindon after playing just one professional game for Liverpool three years ago and spending last season on loan at Newport.

The Reds lost young players Luke Chambers and Jarrell Quansah on loan deals to Bristol Rovers and Kilmarnock, respectively, but it was always believed that they would hold out until the summer.

Liverpool’s struggling engine room will likely need to be rebuilt after this season’s midfield woes. Jude Bellingham, Moises Caicedo, and Matheus Nunes, for example, have already been mentioned in connection with high-paying transfers to Anfield.

Gakpo will accept any new members via the door. And even though he hasn’t had much of an impact on the field thus far, he at least bowled his new employer over.

Earlier this month, Klopp said the following: “To be honest, Cody has been in for two complete training days and is a delight to watch. In our circumstances, having a player who is fairly natural at many things and knows where the goal is, is incredibly nice. He is definitely ecstatic and loving every moment right now.

“He plays good football, excels in cramped areas, enjoys long shots, and is a good finisher and dribbler. There are numerous videos online about him, so anyone who is interested in learning more can. It’s pleasant to observe anything in person.
