LIVERPOOLKarlsruher vs Liverpool – Pre-season friendly: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Liverpool will play their first of two pre-season friendlies in Germany when they take on second-tier side Karlsruher on Wednesday.
It’s their first stop on a tour which will take them as far as Singapore and as close as Preston, with Jurgen Klopp looking to ramp up preparations for the coming campaign and ensure things get off to a better start this year.

Here’s all you need to know about this one.
Where are Karlsruher vs Liverpool playing?
Location: Karlsruhe, Germany
Stadium: BBBank Wildpark
Date: Wednesday 19 July
Kick-off Time: 17:30 BST / 12:30 ET / 09:00 PT
How to watch Karlsruher vs Liverpool on TV and live stream
Liverpool team news
New signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai could make their unofficial debuts here in a midfield which may include young Stefan Bajcetic, who hasn’t been seen since picking up a nasty injury in March.

HBAgency
Jordan Henderson has travelled despite being the subject of interest from Saudi Arabia, but fans may have already had their last glimpse of Fabinho as the Brazilian was left at home to negotiate his own move to the Middle East.

Karlsruher vs Liverpool score prediction
The priority here for Klopp will be spreading the minutes around, so Liverpool obviously won’t be at their strongest. That being said, even the reserves should be too much for a side who finished seventh in the German second tier.

All eyes will be on the growing partnership between Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, as well as just how involved Trent Alexander-Arnold gets in the midfield battle.

Even though the scoreline and likely comfortable victory are meaningless, there’s a lot to learn about Liverpool here.

Liverpool FC has reached an agreement for the transfer of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion on a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old has successfully completed a medical and agreed personal terms to become the Reds’ first signing of the summer window.

Mac Allister will arrive at Anfield less than six months on from helping Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar last December, capping a highly impressive season with Brighton.

The midfielder told Liverpoolfc.com: “It feels amazing. It’s a dream come true, it’s amazing to be here and I can’t wait to get started.

“I wanted to be in [from] the first day of pre-season, so it’s good that everything is done. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates.

“It was a fantastic year for me – World Cup, what we achieved with Brighton – but now it’s time to think about Liverpool and try to be a better player and a better human being every day.”

Watch: Mac Allister’s first LFC interview in full

Mac Allister’s move to Anfield comes after three-and-a-half successful seasons at Brighton following a January 2019 switch from Argentinos Juniors, where he immediately returned on loan for six months until a further temporary stint with Boca Juniors.

His Premier League debut came in March 2020 and he went on to make a total of 112 appearances for the south-coast club, 98 of which came in the Premier League. Indeed, he faced Liverpool as an opponent on six occasions.

In addition, Mac Allister netted 20 times overall for Brighton and claimed nine assists.

At international level he has 16 caps for Argentina, with one strike to his name to date – the opener in a 2-0 win over Poland in Group C of their successful World Cup campaign.

He made six starts at the tournament and laid on a goal for Angel Di Maria in La Albiceleste’s thrilling final triumph over France.

Mac Allister will become the seventh Argentinian to represent Liverpool.

He added: “Since I won the World Cup, I said that I want to win more trophies and I think that this club will help me to do that – that’s the aim and when you are in a big club like this one you have to win trophies. So, that’s what I want.

“Since I arrived here, I can see how big this club is – the players we have, the staff, everyone. I’m really pleased and looking forward to playing for this club.”

Done Deal!!! Jurgen Klopp attended secret transfer meeting to finalize the deal with Moroccan international midfielder

July 16, 2023 admin

Despite Manchester United’s interest, Jurgen Klopp has already met with Sofyan Amrabat’s agent as Liverpool ramps up their pursuit of the Fiorentina midfielder.

Sofyan Amrabat is a transfer target for Liverpool, and manager Jurgen Klopp has already spoken with the midfielder’s agent this year.

Amrabat, a Moroccan international, is a target for Manchester United as well, and the club is banking on the influence of Erik ten Hag’s friendship with the player. Amrabat was previously tutored by the United manager while they were teammates at FC Utrecht in the Netherlands.

The United manager has shown the player a great deal of virtue, praising his tenacity and determination to put the team before himself, traits he views in the highest regard. However, Liverpool is interested in the youngster since they need to find a successor for Fabinho, who will probably depart Anfield.

The Brazilian is destined to go in a £40 million deal. The Reds have added Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai this summer, but with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho (along with Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also leaving), they urgently need to bolster their defensive midfield.

According to a story in The Athletic, Amrabat is on Liverpool’s short list for the summer, along with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia and Bayern Munich’s Manchester City’s Ryan Gravenberch and Kalvin Phillips.

Amrabat was a standout star for Morocco at last year’s World Cup

At the World Cup, Amrabat shone for Morocco as they advanced to the semifinals by defeating Portugal and Spain. His performances in Qatar sparked interest from a number of clubs, including the Merseyside Reds, and there are rumors that Klopp conducted a private meeting with the player’s agent.

The holding midfielder is rumored to be open to leaving the Italian club, and the Reds have already been credited with an interest in him. West Ham defeated Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final last year, but the Italian team was unable to advance to the European football competition.

Amrabat participated in every minute of Morocco’s incredible World Cup run last month, which saw them finish first in Group F, ahead of Croatia and Belgium, and then defeat 2010 World Champions Spain on penalties. After defeats to France and Croatia in the third-place playoff, they went on to overcome Portugal in the quarterfinals.

In comparison to United, who bought Mason Mount this year and Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer, Liverpool’s need for a midfielder is substantially higher. Although they don’t have many choices in defensive midfield, Klopp’s requirements are considerably more urgent.

Serie A superstar ‘open’ to move to Liverpool

According to reports from Italy, Juventus star Federico Chiesa is open to a move to Premier League giants Liverpool.

The 25-year-old made just 21 appearances in the series last year, including only six since the start. This was partly due to seven separate injury issues, but his playing time was largely limited by Massimiliano Allegri’s preferred system.

Moreover, Chiesa reportedly had a strained relationship with Juve manager Allegri which led to him looking for a summer move.

As FootballTransfers exclusively revealed in early July, Juventus are offering Chiesa to a number of top clubs to boost their funds.

Sources have told FootballTransfers that the striker is on the hunt for a Premier League club as he is doubtful in Turin, but the money his current club are asking for – around €60m – will make that problematic.

However, according to the Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool have rekindled their interest in Chiesa, after being linked to the Italian in 2021. Furthermore, the Euro 2020 star would be open to a move to Anfield if the Reds make a move.

According to the report.

Chiesa to Liverpool?

Serie A superstar ‘open’ to move to Liverpool

Chiesa would become Jurgen Klopp’s third summer signing after signing deals for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Alexis Mac Allister and RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szobolszlai, if Liverpool are serious about pursuing him.

The Reds have also been linked with Southampton and Belgian star Romeo Lavia, amid interest in both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson from Saudi Arabia. Fabinho is the subject of a €46.6m (£40m) offer from Al-Ittihad, who have already signed Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, N’Golo Kante from Chelsea and Jota from Celtic this summer.

On the other hand, Henderson has been offered a mouth-watering salary of €815,000 (£700,000) a week to join Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, although the Saudi Pro League side are yet to meet Liverpool’s asking price for the England national team.

More news…….

It will be extremely difficult for Liverpool to sign a £40 million player right now, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It will be extremely difficult for Liverpool to sign a £40 million player right now, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Levi Colwill will be difficult for Liverpool to sign this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, who provided an update on the defender in a post on The Residency App.

As you might expect, the journalist was deluged with inquiries about Liverpool and their interest in Colwill while moderating a Q&A session with fans on the app.

The young defender has been the subject of reports from all over the week that the Reds are interested in signing him, but the journalist claims that Chelsea has made it very clear to the Merseyside club that the player is not for sale.

In fact, Romano claims that despite the Reds’ admiration for the player, it will be difficult to complete this deal because Chelsea have been very clear with them about the fact that he is not for sale.

Not available to purchase.

Romano gave an update regarding the £40 million man.

Liverpool likes Levi, I’ve said that a lot, but Chelsea are very clear: not for sale,” wrote Romano.

Not certain.

Colwill is not up for sale this summer, as Chelsea have made clear, but we can’t help but feel that this situation isn’t as cut and dried as it seems.

The defender’s contract at Stamford Bridge is about to expire, so if he decides to leave west London, the Blues may be forced to sell the center-half.

Colwill may end up havinghis head turned given the interest from teams like Liverpool, but as of yet, there hasn’t been any indication that the player actually wants to leave.

However, according to Italian outlet FootMercato, Arsenal have taken a huge step towards reaching an agreement with Shakhtar for Mudryk as the report claims the Kroenke family have given sporting director Edu Gaspar the green
