Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool is among the clubs interested in signing Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich

As reported by Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany, Liverpool is in the race to sign Benjamin Pavard who wants to leave Bayern Munich this summer. It is believed that Inter, Manchester City, Barcelona and Manchester United are also keen on the player.

Liverpool Transfer News – Defender target opens up about experiencing Liverpool first-hand

In an interview with Wolfsburger Allgemeine Aller-Zeitung, Liverpool target Micky van de Ven revealed he got goosebumps when hearing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.

“I once went to the Liverpool stadium with my dad. That was over Christmas on Boxing Day. Liverpool vs Arsenal. That was madness. Then when ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ comes [on] – that’s a goosebump moment, that was very cool. It’s a dream to play there.” [Translated via Liverpool Echo]

As reported by The Top Flight, Liverpool is on the club’s shortlist for defenders to target this summer. It is believed that former Wolfsburg director Jorg Schmadtke joining Liverpool has added fuel to these links.

Liverpool Transfer News – Adrian confirms he is close to a new deal to extend his stay

In an interview with James Pearce of The Athletic, Spanish keeper Adrian revealed talks with Liverpool are ongoing.

“I have a great relationship with the manager and the club. We’ve been in talks and we’re really close. I know the situation and my role in the squad. Everyone wants to play and have minutes on the pitch. But you also need a big squad with good people who will commit everything every day in training”.

It’s safe to say that Adrian is more than happy to stay in Liverpool and continue being a backup to Alisson. It does beg the question of what will happen to Caoimhin Kelleher though. Will he want to battle for the number 2 position (again) or perhaps move elsewhere to kick start his career as a regular starter?

Liverpool keen on acquiring Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool has been linked with several midfielders during the summer window, and there is now an update on their pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch.

According to Michael Reschke (as cited by Liverpool Echo), Liverpool is said to “really want” Gravenberch. Alongside Manu Kone, Alexis Mac Allister, and Khephren Thuram, Gravenberch’s name has emerged as a target for Liverpool due to his limited playing time at Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old midfielder is highly regarded for his exceptional talent and potential. Jurgen Klopp views him as a valuable addition to their squad, offering strength, creativity, and versatility in the midfield region.

With Gravenberch seeking more regular playing time, a move to Anfield could provide him with an ideal platform to further develop his skills and showcase his talent on a bigger stage.

Liverpool’s interest in the Dutch midfielder aligns with their ambitious plans for the upcoming season as they aim to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level once again.

Manager Jurgen Klopp and the recruitment team believe that Gravenberch has the potential to make a significant impact and contribute to the team’s success.

The Dutch midfielder’s box-to-box playing style fits the requirements at Liverpool, and he could integrate well into the squad given his experience at Ajax.

As negotiations and discussions continue, Liverpool fans eagerly await further updates on the player. His arrival at Anfield would not only provide additional options in midfield but also inject fresh energy and competition into the squad.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, the fact that Liverpool “really want” Gravenberch indicates that the club is actively working towards securing his signature.

The Bayern star’s technical abilities, physical presence, and ability to dictate the game’s tempo would enhance Liverpool’s attacking capabilities and contribute to the team’s success in both the short and long term.
