Jude Bellingham close to signing for Real Madrid; will Liverpool go for Bayern Munich’s Ryan…

Bayern Munich’s competition could weakening — or perhaps generating revenue to get stronger depending on you perspective. Let’s take a look at the latest transfer drama in the Bundesliga…

Borussia Dortmund midfield general Jude Bellingham looks to have found a new home as La Liga team Real Madrid are reportedly close to signing the former Birmingham City player (via Fabrizio Romano):

How serious are things between Real Madrid and Bellingham? Serious enough for Manchester City to seemingly concede the race:

Liverpool FC were another one of the clubs going after the young Englishman’s signature, but they might turn to Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch with Jude likely on his way to Spain. The Dutchman signed for the Rekordmeister from Ajax but has rarely featured for the team and has expressed discontent at the lack of minutes. With the 2019 Champions League winners in desperate need of a midfielder, the soon-to-be 21-year-old might want a change of scenery if he wants regular minutes.

Gravenberch had said that he’ll still try to break into the first team but will leave the club if he cannot do so (play regularly) and if he feels a move away is best for him.

Issa Diop gifts Liverpool penalty forgetting to kick ball before booting Darwin Nunez

An absolute brain fart by Issa Diop allowed Liverpool to take the lead against Fulham, leaving fans in stitches.

The Reds are still in with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season and were handed the lead against Marco Silva’s side on a plate when Diop clattered into Darwin Nunez to concede a penalty.

After receiving an innocuous-looking pass from Tosin Adarabioyo, the Frenchman needlessly dallied on the ball as he looked for a spare team-mate and somehow failed to notice Nunez steaming towards him.

The Uruguayan nicked the ball before Diop’s swinging leg sent him tumbling to the floor, with referee Stuart Attwell immediately pointing to the spot.

Mo Salah converted the resulting spot-kick, but supporters on social media were in little doubt about who the difference-maker had been.

“What is Diop playing at hahaha,” one fan tweeted. “Scandalous defending from Diop. Like a rabbit in headlights,” wrote another, while a third joked: “Diop.exe.404/file/not/found.”

Diop failed to spot Darwin Nunez rushing in

… and booted the Uruguayan

Replays showed there was minimal contact between Diop and Nunez, leading some fans to accuse the Liverpool forward of diving.

“There’s absolutely zero contact from Diop on Nunez. How on earth are they giving penalties now when there’s no contact,” one person fumed, while a United fan commented: “We had about 15 incidents in the box with more contact than this not awarded. It’s crazy.”

Issa Diop’s error proved costly

A third fan added: “Whether you think it’s a dive or not, let’s just take a moment to question what on earth Diop is doing?”
