Joshua Kimmich makes decision on joining Arsenal or Liverpool in £30m transfer.
Joshua Kimmich is not interested in joining Arsenal or Liverpool because he has his heart set on signing for a different club, according to reports. Kimmich is about to enter the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich and has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.

Liverpool are said to be weighing up a potential move for Kimmich, while Arsenal have also been credited with a desire to snap him up. However, it seems both clubs will be forced to shelve their interest in the Germany international, who is reportedly unwilling to join them.

Kimmich is ready to turn down any proposals from either side in order to seal a move to Manchester City, according to the Daily Star. It is said that Kimmich wants to reunite with Pep Guardiola and has told his representatives that he is keen on joining the Premier League champions.
That feeling is said to be mutual, with Guardiola eager to bring Kimmich to the Etihad Stadium before the new season gets underway. His versatility is thought to be a major plus point for City, who are seeking further reinforcements as they go in search of a fifth straight title.

Kimmich, who has won eight Bundesliga titles during his time at Bayern Munich, has consistently refused to sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena. He appears to have his heart set on a fresh challenge in the Premier League with City but it remains to be seen if a move can be arranged over the coming weeks.

It seems Bayern Munich will have no choice but to sell Kimmich this summer, given that he is not willing to extend his stay with the German giants. A cut-price transfer fee of around £30million would reportedly be enough to tempt them into doing business with City.

Guardiola only managed Kimmich for one season after bringing him to Bayern Munich from their Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig. He was clearly left delighted by the versatile midfielder, who he lavished in high praise just months before taking over at City.

“I love this kid,” said Guardiola. “He has absolutely everything and can achieve whatever he wants. He wants to learn and has passion. When I speak about Joshua Kimmich, I only say good things. I have a message for journalists: don’t say that he can’t play in defence.”

Kimmich has made a total of 390 appearances for Bayern Munich, chipping in with 42 goals and 104 assists in the process. He is currently representing Germany at Euro 2024 and has been involved in all of their games at the tournament so far.
