New sources out of France indicate that Liverpool will be seriously considered for the 2024 signing of Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old starlet, who has one year left on his PSG contract, has seen a probable departure this summer fall through. The Ligue 1 heavyweights were eager to get rid of Mbappe, with Real Madrid spearheading the effort. However, they did not have the funds to additionally sign Mbappe since they had already acquired Jude Bellingham in a first €103 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

Mbappe’s contract ending in the summer of 2019 made it clear that the LaLiga giants’ strategy was to pursue him as a free agent in 2024.

However, L’Equipe reports that Liverpool would vigorously contest Real’s alleged free-will acquisition of Mbappe in 2019.

Mohamed Salah’s future is still in question, therefore the Reds may be able to sell the talismanic Egyptian star to pay for a move for Mbappe in 2024.

To that goal, starting on January 1, the forward will be qualified to discuss terms with international suitors. L’Equipe is sure that Liverpool ‘cannot be dismissed’ from the discussion.

The star could depart for “free,” but he would probably demand a hefty signing bonus. Furthermore, given that he now earns an estimated £700,000 each week in Paris, he would also receive eye-watering pay.

Liverpool, which obviously couldn’t reach those heights, may, however, offer him a sizable salary should Salah — who makes £350,000 per week on average — go.

Mbappe has sped up a summer transfer in the interim by refusing to accept a sizable loyalty incentive from PSG. Mbappe could have triggered a hefty €100 million signing-on fee at the Parc des Princes had he inked a new contract.

However, by not extending, he ‘gave’ the French club a large savings and made it easier to accept his inevitable free-transfer move. The footballer has since resolved their issues and is once again popular at the Ligue 1 giants, at least for this season.

However, Fluminense midfielder Andre is one player Liverpool may anticipate signing in January 2024.

The Reds made an unsuccessful €30 million (£25.5 million) approach for the Brazilian superstar in the summer. Fluminense did in fact reject the Merseysiders’ offer by saying that no amount of money could persuade them to cash in at what is essentially the tail end of the South American season.

The 22-year-old will allegedly arrive at Anfield in January according to a deal that has apparently been reached. Despite having a €40 million (£30 million) departure option in his contract, the former Brazil international midfielder is reportedly close to agreeing to a transfer for roughly €35 million (£30 million).
