Bayern Munich’s all-time signing On his Bundesliga debut, Harry Kane scored once and assisted on another, propelling the champions to a 4-0 victory over Werder Bremen on Friday and a victorious start to the regular season.

After setting up Leroy Sane for a fourth-minute opener, England captain Kane scored in the 74th minute after joining for a league record €100 million last week to solve Bayern’s scoring troubles.

Sane added another with a simple tap-in in the 90th minute, and Mathys Tel made it 4-0 in stoppage time.

Bayern had lost 3-0 at home to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup last week, with Kane coming on as a second-half replacement following his arrival from Tottenham Hotspur.

However, they promptly took the lead when Kane put Sane clean to beat goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka.

Despite boxing Werder fully into their half for much of the first 45 minutes, Bayern was unable to add another goal, with Kane well-guarded and the visitors relying primarily on long-range chances.

Werder attempted to catch Bayern off guard immediately after the restart, creating three chances in the first four minutes of the second half.

The visitors, on the other hand, responded swiftly to the wake-up call, with Kingsley Coman looping a shot onto the post in the 59th minute and Kane forcing a brilliant save from Pavlenka two minutes later.
