West Brom have been ‘urged’ to hold onto two of their star players.
England brought their fans from the edge of despair to land of elation last night when they overcame a dogged Slovakia outfit by a score of 2-1. As the Three Lions now prepare to take on Switzerland, let’s take a look at all the Championship transfer rumours from today.
West Bromwich Albion have been advised to keep two of their star players during the ongoing transfer window – meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are the cusp of signing a highly-rated Leeds ace, with a deal agreed ‘in principle’.

West Brom ‘urged’ to keep one of Alex Mowatt and Okay Yokuslu
West Brom have been ‘urged’ to keep hold of Alex Mowatt and Okay Yokuslu over the course of the summer transfer window. They have already put pen to paper with Mowatt – but can they do the same with Yokuslu?
Speaking to Football League World, fan pundit Matt Smith said: “I probably think Albion can’t afford to lose both Mowatt and Yokuslu in the same summer. If they intend on winning promotion this year, then it would probably be too big of a gap to fill to replace the both of them.
“Yokuslu has just been a class act for us since he’s been at the club, both on loan and permanently. [Mowatt and Yokuslu is] one of the best midfield pairings in the Championship, to be honest. Can I see a deal being struck with Trabzonspor and Albion? I think it depends on the player, but he’s 30 with a year left on his contract. A couple of million – say £2 million or £3 million – that’s probably a realistic valuation.
“We’re not in a position to demand much. His value to the team is greater than that. He’s one of our best players. You’re not going to get more than maybe £4 million at the most maybe. Between £2 million and £4 million is what you’re looking at.

“If the player wants to go back to Turkey after the Euros? Then, yes, I can see a deal being struck. I think he’s very settled at the club, so I at least hope that he’ll be happy to see out the last year of his contract.”

Archie Gray agrees to join Tottenham Hotspur ‘in principle’
Leeds United starboy Archie Gray burst onto the scene in the Championship last season – and Tottenham Hotspur have taken notice of this. They have agreed a deal ‘in principle’ with the Whites to bring him to North London for a fee of £40 million.
This is according to a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano. In addition to the £40 million, Leeds are also expected to sign Joe Rodon from Spurs for a fee of £10 million, although this is not set to impact the deal involving Gray.
Writing on his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Romano penned: “Archie Gray to Tottenham, here we go! Agreement in principle between all parties involved, waiting to sign docs. Spurs are set to pay fee around £40m, long term deal for Gray who’s accepted to join THFC. Joe Rodon to join LUFC in separate transaction around £10m.”
