Arsenal star Bukayo Saka appears to have taken a dig at Tottenham playmaker James Maddison during the North London Derby on Sunday. The two sides renewed rivalries again at the Emirates Stadium, with plenty of build-up surrounding the potential for an entertaining game.

Both teams entered it in fine form and identical records, having taken four wins and one draw from their opening five Premier League games. For Mikel Arteta, it comes with the hopes of fulfilling a title charge that they attempted last season, but narrowly missed out on to Manchester City.

As for Ange Postecoglou, he picks up a Spurs side that fell apart in the second half of the last campaign, missing out on qualification for Europe altogether. However, his early results and performances brought about hope that a top four finish or even more could be on the cards.

It set up a highly entertaining clash between the two sides, which started out as a fiery encounter on several different counts. Destiny Udogie had trouble keeping Saka from causing problems, eventually getting booked for a foul on the winger inside the opening moments of the first half.

It would be Saka that would cause him troubles yet again as the England international cut in on his left foot to curl a shot goalwards. The attempt took a wicked deflection off of the flailing leg of Cristian Romero to nestle into the back of the net and give the home side the lead.

Celebrations went wild at the scenes, while Saka managed to sneak in a cheeky dig at international teammate Maddison in his own celebration. The winger turned to the camera and pretended to throw darts at a dartboard, similar to the celebration often seen by the Spurs talisman.

It remains to be seen just how crucial that goal could be in the context of the game or the season as a whole, but it was certainly enjoyed by the Emirates Stadium crowd.
