BREAKING NEWS:Liverpool has signed a strong midfielder, which was Manchester United targets  £100m offer (DONE DEAL)

Liverpool are said to be readying a £30m offer for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his forward line.

The Reds have made an excellent start to the summer transfer window by signing Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister.

Liverpool are looking to land several other targets in this window to get them back to the top next year.

Midfield and defence remain a priority position for Liverpool to improve this summer, but they are also looking at forward options.

Juventus winger Chiesa has been on Klopp’s radar for some time and the club are now readying an offer.

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are prepared to open the negotiations with a bid of around £30m.

The report states that Juventus are ‘seriously thinking about’ selling Chiesa for that sort of figure.

Chiesa would tick a lot of boxes for a club like Liverpool as he can play anywhere across the forward three.

However, Klopp will surely be wary of the Italian’s injury record. The 25-year-old has only started in five league matches for Juventus this season having struggled with muscle, knee and fitness issues.

Throughout his Juventus career, the Italian international has struggled with reoccurring injury issues.

Across his last two campaigns with the Italian club, he has only started in 17 league matches.

When fully fit, Chiesa has the potential to be one of the best wingers in Europe. Juventus originally spent around £42m to sign him from Fiorentina.

It has also been reported that the winger is ‘unhappy’ at Juventus he no longer feels ‘centre of the project’ at his current side.

If he does make the switch to Liverpool, there would be no guarantee that he would be a regular starter there either.

With the likes of Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz to compete with, there is already plenty of competition for places.

Squad depth will be important for Liverpool next season though as they must also contend with the Europa League.

Klopp and his side will be focused on getting back into the top four next season and someone like Chiesa could be of use.

Journalist shares what he’s now heard about Benjamin Pavard and Liverpool

Liverpool are one of the clubs in the mix to sign French international defender Benjamin Pavard, according to German journalist Christian Falk.

Falk was writing in his latest column for CaughtOffside and when discussing Pavard, claimed Liverpool are one of the most likely destinations for the defender.

Pavard, 27, is expected to leave Bayern Munich this summer and Falk claims he has indeed to the club he is off.

Liverpool could sign Benjamin Pavard from Bayern

Reports in the last few weeks have credited Liverpool with holding an interest in Pavard.

The full-back won the World Cup with France as well as the Champions League and four Bundesliga titles withn the German giants.

But according to Falk, Pavard is now open to a new challenge, with Liverpool a ‘hot candidate’.

Benjamin Pavard has informed the club that he wants to move in the summer,” Falk said.

“His agents are already talking to other clubs. Among them, Liverpool is now a hot candidate. Previously, Chelsea and Barcelona were already known to be interested, as well as Italian clubs AC and Inter Milan.”

The Reds are expected to be busy this summer and have already signed Alexis Mac Allister. A new defender is thought to be on Jurgen Klopp’s mind as well.

One to watch

While a full-back is probably not the highest priority for Liverpool there is no problem in getting yourself in the mix for players of Pavard’s quality.

The Frenchman has been brilliant with Bayern and his record speaks for itself. He is a winner, and the fact he’s also capable on both the left and right will appeal to Klopp.

Of course, midfield remains the main area Liverpool want to add to. But if a deal can be done for Pavard, then it’s certainly worth exploring.
