REPORTER CLAIMS MANCHESTER UNITED TARGET HAS AGREED LIVERPOOL TERMS

Liverpool continue to chase Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade amid claims that he has now agreed personal terms with the Reds.

Manchester United have joined the race for Andre Trindade but Liverpool appear to be at the front of the queue.

That is according to Brazilian reporter Emmanuel Luiz, who has told The Redmen TV that Manchester United have made calls about a deal for Andre.

The Red Devils are looking to sign a midfielder and have been linked with a number of Liverpool targets.

Sofyan Amrabat and Ryan Gravenberch spring to mind with Fluminense star Andre now the latest player on their radar.

However, Luiz claims that Andre’s entourage have informed United that the midfielder has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

Luiz believes the agreement is done and Andre has told Fluminense that he wants to leave the club for Anfield.

Fluminense don’t want to sell until January though, preferring to keep hold of Andre for their Copa Libertadores campaign.

“Manchester United went to Andre’s camp to talk about a possible negotiation right now,” said Luiz. “What they said: the player has personal terms agreed with Liverpool. Personal terms already agreed – that’s done.”

“The situation was today, I called some guys that are close to Andre, to the player’s camp, and they said to me: Andre said to Fluminense ‘I want to go to Liverpool, okay? I want to go, I have personal terms agreed’. That’s fine, but what Fluminense said is ‘okay, but we are not going to sell now because of the Copa Libertadores, that we already now,” he added.

What is Liverpool target Andre’s situation at Fluminense?

Fluminense take on Paraguayan side Olimpia in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals later this week.

The final doesn’t take place until November, so Fluminense want Andre on board throughout in the hopes of glory.

This leaves Liverpool in a tricky situation, as they will be looking at Andre to come in right now and compete with Wataru Endo for a holding midfield role.

Fulham hoping to sign Brazil midfielder offered to European giants

The 22-year-old has become a star for Fluminense, racking up nearly 150 appearances and even picking up a Brazil cap.

Praised for being a ‘quick’ defensive midfielder who can cover ground brilliantly by South American football expert Tim Vickery, Andre seems destined for Europe soon enough.

Liverpool could be his destination but it’s unclear whether there is any chance of a deal before next week’s transfer deadline or whether Liverpool have to wait until January.

Liverpool: Reds given exciting Gravenberch update

Bayern Munich could be open to letting the midfielder leave this summer…

Bayern Munich: AC Milan interested in Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool will be among the favourites for Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch if he decides he wants to leave, but they may have to battle a Premier League rival for his signature, according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Is Ryan Gravenberch signing for Liverpool?

Bayern appear to be open to Gravenberch’s sale for a relatively low fee this summer, with The Mirror reporting the German side hope to receive £22m, if they are to let him leave, given that his move to the Allianz Arena from Ajax has not gone to plan.

However, Liverpool are set to lock horns with Manchester United in a transfer battle, which could potentially drive his price up a bit higher, with both clubs having already tabled contract offers to the Dutchman, who now wants to leave Bayern.

That is according to a report from 90min, which states the 21-year-old has now made it clear he would like to move to the Premier League, amid interest from two of England’s biggest clubs, but getting his wish may not be easy.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel would like to keep the youngster as a squad player, and the club may not be willing to let him leave on loan with an option to buy, which is the type of move the Reds are now trying to pursue.

In a new update on X, Plettenberg has also given an overview of the central midfielder’s situation at Bayern, stating he wants to play regularly, but he is currently Tuchel’s fourth choice option in the engine room.

As such, Bayern bosses do not exclude the Netherlands international’s departure this summer, which could happen as late as deadline day, and Liverpool should be well-placed to win the race for his signature.

If the Bundesliga club do green-light the departure, both Jurgen Klopp’s side and Man United will be the favourites, although there has been no verbal agreements over a deal at this stage.

What is the market value of Ryan Gravenberch?

With Bayern clearly keen on a permanent move, if they are to let the midfielder leave this summer, they are set to ask for a relatively modest fee of £22m, although he is valued a little higher by Transfermarkt, at €30m (£25.6m)

Considering the potential the starlet posseses, that could prove to be a bargain fee, with former Ajax man Wim Kieft previously lauding him as the best player to come out of his country in recent years, saying:

“He is the greatest talent in the Netherlands. Only 18-years-old, but the prototype of a complete player. You see him grow every week.

“If someone like this makes his debut at the highest level, the big question is whether he can keep up with the faster pace. Gravenberch picks up on that very quickly. Also in the Champions League. When you see how, despite his height and physically, he easily turns away in the crowds and accelerates, you don’t see that much.”

Despite his age, Gravenberch already has a great deal of first-team experience under his belt due to his time with Ajax, and he could now be ready to become a regular starter at one of Europe’s top clubs, so it is promising news that Liverpool could be well-placed to sign him.

Liverpool: £70m starlet would be an ideal Henderson heir

Liverpool are still looking to sign another midfielder this summer.

Liverpool  recently completed the surprise signing of Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo for a fee of £16.2m from Stuttgart as Jurgen Klopp continued his midfield rebuild.

Having missed out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, who both joined Chelsea, the German will need to move swiftly to land another one or two players before the end of the transfer window.

Endo may not be a marquee name, yet his experience could be vital – and Klopp also appears to be edging closer to signing another target

Who could Liverpool sign next?

With Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita all departing Anfield, the Reds find themselves a bit short in the middle of the pitch.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace star Cheick Doucoure is still on Klopp’s list despite the arrival of Endo earlier this week.

The Eagles are set to ask for a fee believed to be around £70m for one of their prized assets, and should Liverpool submit an offer in this region, it’s highly likely they will secure his signature.

The £60k-per-week Palace gem has just one season of Premier League football behind him, yet Klopp clearly sees enough to launch a move to lure him to the north-west.

How good is Cheick Doucoure?

Although a mass midfield exodus was perhaps expected with a few players out of contract, to see Henderson depart after 12 years with the club was a major surprise.

The Englishman played a key role during their success between 2018 and 2022, captaining the side to a Premier League title, Champions League crown and a handful of other trophies as the Reds emerged out of the shadows that had plagued them for years.
