The first North London Derby of the season is upon us with Arsenal and Tottenham going head-to-head in the Premier League. A new managerial rivalry is ready to kick-start as Mikel Arteta’s side go up against the Premier League’s current darlings.
Ange Postecoglou, with his free-flowing football, fearless mentality and entirely relatable stance with the media, has already won over many neutrals going into the game and six weeks into the season it couldn’t be set up any better. Arsenal and Spurs both have 13 points from their opening five matches and are unbeaten.
It’s the battle of teams entering the weekend second and fourth with just goal difference to split them at this stage. In what is the fixture that has shown the strongest correlation of home advantage in the league’s history, not for a long time have both sets of teams come in so ready and in-form.
Other matches between the two old rivals have held more meaning but this a true test of the New Tottenham whilst there are devils at the Emirates Stadium to set right in the minds of their fans. Arsenal are just looking to extend an impressive recent record over their neighbours.
It is the blockbuster tie of the weekend and is not one to missed by anyone! Here, football.london takes you through all the ways to keep up with the match.
Due to European action for Arsenal on Wednesday, and the demand to have the biggest games on a Sunday, the match is being played on September 24. As the Premier League accommodates for seven of its sides being in either the Champions League, Europa League of Europa Conference League, it is a packed schedule.
