Liverpool agree deal with‘outstanding’defender following transfer speculation
Liverpool‘s young defender, Luke Chambers, has just signed a new contract with the Reds and he had been at the club since the age of six.
Luke Chambers has been on loan with the Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, since January. The 18-year-old was sent on loan to Kilmarnock FC in Scotland in January. The Scottish team has been struggling in the Scottish Premiership and where the LFC youngster has made 11 appearances so far.
Moreover, he has been a part of Klopp’s team in the pre-season tour and has been named in the matchday squad twice.

The teenager was a part of Ian Foster’s England U19s squad that scored European Championships glory last summer.
Luke Chambers extends his Liverpool contract
The defender extended his contract with the Reds while he was being monitored by Watford. The Hornets were keeping tabs on the full-back’s progress with the Scottish side.
During his time in Scotland, he has received praise from the club’s manager, Derek McInnes.
“It was a great debut for Luke Chambers.
He played a part in the goal, he picked out the pass, he was quality in possession. He was making his senior debut at 18, there was a lot of nerves, but the level of performance was very mature.
36 years ago I made my first senior debut and I certainly didn’t play as good as him! He was outstanding. He looks about 13 but he plays like a 30-year-old.
He’s so mature, he’s so calm with his defending, his decision making on the ball was very good, his choice of passes, his choice of crosses, none more so than for Danny’s goal and he’s fitted in brilliantly.”
Moreover, his loan spell at Rugby Park is set to expire at the end of the season. But the full-back’s focus is on keeping the Scottish side out of the danger zone.
Kilmarnock sits above Ross County, who sit at the foot of the table. Also, they remain threatened with relegation from the top flight in Scotland sitting in the relegation qualification position on goal difference with Dundee United.

Liverpool braced for second early summer transfer decision after Roberto Firmino
Liverpool transfer news as James Milner looks set to depart.
James Milner is set to leave Liverpool this summer.
The vice-skipper will depart Anfield after eight years of loyal service – having etched himself into club folklore.
Brighton are reportedly frontrunners to snap up Milner when his contract expires in June. Despite being the ripe age of 37, the midfielder is poised to continue his career in the Premier League.
Milner joined Liverpool from Manchester City in 2015 and has made 328 appearances, scoring 26 goals. He was at the nucleaus of the Reds re-establishing themselves among the European elite – helping the club win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
However, Milner’s role as Liverpool in terms of his game-time as unsurprisingly dwindled during his twilight years. And with Jurgen Klopp planning to bolster his midfield options in the summer, Milner looks primed to move on. That’s despite Klopp suggesting he wanted to keep the former England international at the club earlier in the season.
Klopp will undoubtedly be asked about Milner during his press conference to preview Liverpool’s fixture against Brentford.
Roberto Firmino will also depart Anfield on a free transfer, with Klopp confirming the Brazil international’s decision in March. The Reds boss said: “Yes, he told me. Surprised? Yes, a little bit but I was not hit by surprise, actually it’s a normal thing to do.
“It could go two ways and it was one. And I respect that a lot. It’s completely normal in this kind of long relationship that we have and Bobby has with the club and with most of the players and stuff like this, and with the fans of course.”

One of the best young midfielders in the world now ‘closer to Liverpool’ than Real Madrid – journalist
Liverpool are in need of bolstering their midfield ranks this summer amid expiring contracts and ageing legs.
The Reds recently pulled the plug on a move for Jude Bellingham, who is now seemingly closing in on Real Madrid.
However, another of the world’s best young midfielders is apparently ‘closer’ to a move to Liverpool than Los Blancos.

Spanish journalist Manu Sainz recently spoke to AS – via Sport Witness – about the future of Gabri Veiga.
Football Transfers claimed in March that Liverpool have been watching the Celta Vigo prodigy ‘for a while’.
Later on in the month, AS – also via Sport Witness – said the Reds were willing to pay his €40m (£35m) release clause.
Several Madrid-based journalists have claimed that Veiga is more likely to come to the Premier League than join Real.
As well as Liverpool, Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old.
However, Real have reportedly joined the race and are now “bidding” for Veiga.
‘Following him for a long time’
That said, Saiz reckons that Veiga has a higher chance of ending up at Anfield than the Bernabeu.
The reporter also name-dropped Newcastle United, who were the “first” to travel to Vigo to monitor him.
“Let’s see what happens with Gabri Veiga. I still see him more in the Premier League (than La Liga),” said Sainz.
“It is true what our colleague published a few days ago that Madrid were bidding for Veiga. But I don’t see him close to Madrid.
“I see him closer to Liverpool, for example, a club that has been following him for a long time.
“Newcastle is a club that were the first to travel to Vigo to monitor him. And you know they are willing to pay the €40m of his release clause. Liverpool are as well.
“Now the ball is in Veiga’s court. He is going to decide which option he wants because once the club is willing to pay the €40m clause, there is practically no negotiation possible.
“He can pick what he likes the most.”

Veiga has been one of La Liga’s great emerging talents this season. He has registered nine goals and four assists from 31 league outings.
His efforts saw ESPN recently name him in their list of their 39 best footballers aged 21 or under.
Providing Celta don’t manage to tie him down to a new contract with a higher release clause, then Liverpool could land a bargain in Veiga.
However, the Reds will no doubt have competition from other top clubs. So if they want him, they should intensify their efforts to sign him.
