REPORTS: TOTTEHAM HAS SIGNED REAL MADRID MIDFIEDER AHEAD OF LIVERPOOL,PLAYER JOINED CLUB TODAY€190M RATED

Levy ‘green lights’ four Tottenham exits with £55m flop ‘seduced’ by reunion with former manager

season got going as Harry Kane completed his move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Spurs will surely sign at least one new striker to fill the huge void left by Kane and Chelsea target Elye Wahi is among their targets.

But more players are likely to leave, with Football Insider reporting that ‘four Tottenham stars are in talks to join new clubs before the window shuts’ after a ‘green light’ from Levy. The report adds.

‘Lazio are close to signing Hugo Lloris, Inter Milan are pursuing Japhet Tanganga, Rennes are working on a deal to sign Tanguy Ndombele and Real Sociedad are negotiating the capture of Sergio Reguilon.

‘The senior quartet have all been told they are free to go by the 1 September cut-off by chairman Daniel Levy after talks with Ange Postecoglou.

‘Tottenham are working to reshape their squad following the club-record sale of Harry Kane. The prolific striker won’t be the last of the big names to go, with deals advancing for those not key to Postecoglou’s plans.’

Spurs paid an initial £55m to sign Ndombele from Ligue Un outfit Lyon in 2019. He impressed during his time in France but he has been a massive flop in the Premier League.

New boss Postecoglou has reportedly been ‘unimpressed’ with Ndombele’s ‘timekeeping and general attitude and application’ and it looks like his Tottenham career is close to ending.

Earlier this week, it was reported that he ‘could be seduced’ by a move to Rennes so he can work with Bruno Genesio, who managed him during their time together at Lyon.

Ndombele previously butted heads with Jose Mourinho and the former Tottenham boss hit out at the midfielder when they worked together in 2020.

“We didn’t have a midfield in the first half,” Mourinho blasted. “I think more important than the tactics is to have midfield players who want the ball, to connect the game, to have them press and recover the ball. To have midfield players to win duels. We didn’t have it,” Mourinho said.

“Of course I am not speaking about Skipp, he is a kid of 19 who played two hours of football a few days ago. I am not critical with Skipp at all.

“I am not going to run away. I have to say Tanguy has had enough time to come to a different level. I know the Premier League is very difficult, I know that some players take a long time.

“But a player with his potential, his responsibility, he has to give us more. And especially when you see the way Lo Celso played, every minute I was expecting more in the first half.”

‘Here we go’: Fabrizio Romano says £30m Tottenham and West Ham target is now joining another club

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United were very keen to sign Elye Wahi this summer, but it looks like he’s about to join RC Lens in the coming days.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano on X, who revealed just a few moments ago that the talented Montpellier striker has agreed to join the Ligue 1 side this summer.

Tottenham and West Ham target Elye Wahi is joining RC Lens

Elye Wahi has been a wanted man since the window opened two months ago, and Tottenham and West Ham were just two of many clubs keen to sign him.

The talented 20-year-old striker had an amazing season last time out. He scored 19 goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances, which is an outstanding return for some so young.

Just last week, after it became clear that Harry Kane was leaving Tottenham, Foot Mercato revealed that Spurs were very keen to sign Wahi.

The same outlet then claimed this week that the striker wants to sign for West Ham United.

Now, however, it looks like he has snubbed both London clubs to stay in France and join Lens.

Romano just tweeted: “Elye Wahi to RC Lens, here we go! Deal in place for €35m (£30m) package as reported by French sources — it’s done between clubs!”

“RC Lens: Personal terms agreed on five-year deal with medical tests booked later today. Several clubs wanted Wahi but he’ll play UCL football at Lens.”

TBR View:

It’s now back to square one for both Tottenham and West Ham.

Both clubs need a new striker having parted ways with Harry Kane and Gianluca Scamacca respectively, and they’re both running out of time.

There are less than two weeks left in the transfer window, and if David Moyes and Ange Postecoglou really want to bring in a new striker, they need to move fast.

Sadly for both clubs, the talented Wahi will no longer be an option.
