Luis Suarez open to buying out Gremio contract to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami
Each MLS team starts with eight spots for foreign players but these can be exchanged between the clubs, as has happened in this situation.

That spot could be used for Suarez, with ESPN Brasil reporting that he is keen to leave Gremio for Inter Miami and is even willing to repay the salary he has earned so far in 2023, with some additional payments on top of that.

Suarez only signed for Gremio this year from Uruguayan side Nacional, inking a two-year contract, but already wants to move on.
Gremio coach Renato Gaucho admitted the 36-year-old is now a ‘problem’ as he said at a recent press coneference: ‘Suarez is now a problem that is in the president’s hands. They are exchanging ideas.

‘As a coach I have to focus on leading the team. It seems like a Mexican soap opera that should end now. Until August 2 I’m quiet, then we’ll see how we continue.

‘Of course we want Suarez to stay. I can’t vouch for him. I know what he thinks and what the club thinks. For now, he has been talking to the board and the president.’

Jürgen Klopp has exciting Liverpool weapon even Pep Guardiola can’t match after $177m transfersLiverpool boss Jürgen Klopp still has a lot of work to get done in the transfer market this summer but one part of the team has a level of strength no one can match.Liverpool has only played two friendlies and there would be no point going over the top with the analysis, but there is a clear pattern that has emerged already.

It looks like Liverpool might concede quite a few goals as things stand (though more signings are on the way to fix that), but it should be more than confident of scoring plenty as well, with question marks over certain defenders and holes in central midfield, but bucketloads of firepower

Mohamed Salah is the only ‘certainty’ to be in the starting line-up for the opening game of the season. The remainder of pre-season will offer some sort of clue as to the rest of the attacking set-up for that game at Chelsea, but in Luis Díaz, Darwin Núñez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo, Jürgen Klopp has quite the array of options, accumulated thanks to an initial $177m (£138m/€160m) investment in the last three transfer windows (with add-ons, the total will be more).

The midfield “machine” is exactly what Jurgen Klopp’s side needs…

Liverpool are firmly in contention to sign Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha with pivot Fabinho closing in on a £40m moveto Saudi Arabian outfit Al Itihadd.According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the Reds are ‘most keen’ on the Portugal international as they seek fresh faces to reassemble their midfield.

Tavolieri claims that the Cottagers are seeking in excess of £52m for the ace, with certain sources claiming that a jaw-dropping £90m might even be the requirement to prise him away from Marco Silva’s squad.

Reliable source ExWHUEmployee claims that the 28-year-old wants a move to the Hammers, though it’s hard to imagine he would turn his head at a move to Anfield if Jurgen Klopp decides to advance negotiations.

Is Joao Palhinha a good player?

Having lost James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to contractual conclusions last month, Klopp might not have wanted to lose such a distinguished star as Fabinho despite the Brazilian’s poor performances last season, especially when partnering with captain Jordan Henderson’s forthcoming and highly-publicised move to Saudi side Al Ettifaq.
