With the Paris Olympics 2024 just around the corner, the seedings for the women’s singles event have been finalized. Players will head back to the clay courts of Roland Garros once again to fight for one of sport’s highest honors. However, with a few players opting to skip the quadrennial sporting contest, there’s a fair bit of difference between the official WTA rankings and the seedings.

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek is the top seed and the favorite to capture the gold medal. While her Wimbledon campaign came to an early end with a third-round exit, she is now back on her beloved clay.Having captured her fourth French Open title a few weeks ago, Swiatek is expected to go all the way at the Olympics as well. World No. 2 Coco Gauff is the second seed, and given her track record in Paris, she too has a shot at a podium finish.
