The summer transfer window is continuing to see Liverpool linked with a host of potential new signings.

New head coach Arne Slot has been in the job for a month and has been busy getting up to speed ahead of his first season at Anfield. Work will already be underway behind the scenes to ensure Liverpool are ready for their Premier League opener against Ipswich Town on August 17.

Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for Anthony Gordon. Reports emerged over the weekend that the Reds were interested in signing the Newcastle star. However, Liverpool rejected the chance to bring the former Everton forward to Anfield in a deal that could have seen Jarell Quansah move in the other direction.

Now a report in The Athletic has claimed that there are growing concerns about Gordon’s future at St James’ Park. It has been stated there are “fears” that Gordon may seek a move to Liverpool after “having his head turned” by the recent speculation around his future.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are being linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte.

Sky Sports have reported that Manchester United are in talks to sign the Uruguay international. However, Ugarte’s agent has spoken about the midfielder’s future and suggested that Liverpool could be in the running.

Jorge Chijane, Ugarte’s agent, has claimed that it’s “certain” the midfielder will leave PSG this summer. Chijane also spoke about the possibility of a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool? There is a lot of talk but it is not the only club, there are others. There are many possibilities on the table,” Chijane recently told O Jogo.

“It’s almost certain that he won’t stay [at PSG], it’s sure he’ll leave. I believe the situation will be resolved.”
