Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ‘will only return to management next season for one club’
Jurgen Klopp could be ready to return to management after leaving Liverpool this summer – with one particular club in mind.
The 56-year-old is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season having spent nine years in Merseyside. In that time he’s led the Premier League giants to a league title, a sixth Champions League and a host of domestic honours.
Klopp admitted that he’s running out of energy and time away from football is what he needs but, according to journalist Gerard Romero, the German would press pause on his scheduled sabbatical to make a swift return to the dugout for one specific club.
Despite winning La Liga last season, the Spanish giants are eight points behind league leaders Real Madrid as the Barca icon admitted, like Klopp, that his energy levels keep dropping.
“In Barcelona, you always feel like you’re not valued, you’re mistreated – that’s how the club works,” the 44-year-old said. “From a mental-health level, it’s tough too. I am a positive guy, but the battery levels keep running out – and at some point, you realise there’s no point in staying.”

Neville, 48, claimed that the Reds’ senior players at the time were “big drinkers” and said just how talented the young crop of players that their rivals had at their disposal.

“What we came into [at Manchester United], at that time [1992/93] Liverpool had a talented group of players, and I don’t dismiss that some of them were as talented as we were, like [Steve] McManaman, [Robbie] Fowler, Jamie Redknapp, and a couple of others,” Neville remarked.
