Tottenham chant and walkout vs Liverpool shows Jürgen Klopp may have one less rival to worry about
It has been a week to forget for Tottenham supporters, with a 6-1 loss against Newcastle United having been followed by a first-half collapse against Liverpool.
With the North London club having refunded their fans following the thrashing at St James’ Park, fans would have been forgiven for giving a trip up to Anfield a wide berth this weekend.
Interim coach Christian Stellini was relieved of his duties following the defeat against the Magpies but supporters will have been hoping the installation of long-term coach Ryan Mason as caretaker until the end of the season would steady the ship somewhat.

However, having conceded three times in the space of 15 minutes against Liverpool, some fans decided they had already seen enough.
A selection of Spurs supporters headed for the exits, potentially fearing another rout like the one against Newcastle a week before, as Mohamed Salah scored the Reds’ third of the game after a quarter of an hour.
One can only applaud the Spurs supporters for seeing the humorous side of their woes, however, with those who traveled up to Anfield breaking into a chorus of ‘how s*** you must be, it’s only 2-0?’ after Luis Díaz doubled Liverpool’s lead.

With Spurs having come into the game ahead of Liverpool in the table, they will have hoped that they could have potentially had the edge over their rivals for a top-six finish.
However, it seems that the problems at Spurs are showing no signs of going away, both on and off the pitch. As the half reached the midway point, supporters then launched into a chorus of ‘Daniel Levy, get out of our club,’ demonstrating the strength of feeling towards the powers-that-be at the troubled club.
Liverpool.com says: It seems as though Spurs is a club in disarray and one does wonder whether things will get any better between now and the end of the season. Sacking an interim manager is unprecedented really, and things just seem a bit of a mess on and off the pitch.
