Darwin Nunez and Pep Guardiola were involved in an animated exchange of words at the full-time whistle between Manchester City and Liverpool this afternoon.

Within seconds of the conclusion of today’s 1-1 draw, the Reds attacker and Spanish manager were seen clashing by the touchline.

Jurgen Klopp intervened to try and lead the 24-year-old away from the flashpoint, but the two warring parties continued to exchange some frank views, with finger jabbing aplenty.

Thankfully the incident was extinguished quickly before it escalated into anything which may have landed Nunez or anyone from Liverpool in hot water.

‘Unbelievable’… Mo Salah says Liverpool have a player who’s shot is as powerful as Didier Drogba’s

There have been some truly unbelievable long-range shooters in Premier League history.

The likes of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard immediately come to mind when you think about powerful long-range shooters, while Dominik Szoboszlai is already showing he’s cut from that same cloth.

The Hungarian has an absolute rocket of a shot, and speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Mohamed Salah has claimed that he’s only ever seen one player with a shot as hard as Szobsozlai’s – Didier Drogba.

Szoboszlai’s shot almost as hard as Drogba’s
Salah shared his verdict on the midfielder’s shooting.

“Have you ever seen someone kick the ball as hard as Dom?” Salah was asked.

“Dom hits the ball unbelievable, maybe one, Drogba. Nobody knows how Drogba hit the ball, my god. I came to Chelsea and he came six months later and the way he hit the ball was insane. Dom is unbelievable,” Salah said.

Incredible
This is high praise.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Drogba playing Premier League football, but to compare Szoboszlai to the Ivorian is huge.

MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES
Drogba had one of the most powerful and most accurate shots we’ve ever seen in this league, and the fact that Szoboszlai is being compared to the former Chelsea striker is a testament to his ability.

Szoboszlai may only have scored one league goal for Liverpool so far, but make no mistake about it, by the time this season is over, he’ll probably have one hell of a highlight real to show off full of screamers from all over the pitch.

Szoboszlai’s shot is remarkable, and there’s a reason he’s consistently being compared with Steven Gerrard, and that’s because he has almost everything in his game.

The Hungarian is well on his way to being a world-class player, make no mistake about it.
