Pole position:Newcastle United has signed Barcelona, Manchester City And Liverpool long time target  £100million

According to Football Insider, Arda Guler could cost Newcastle United a £20 million-plus fee during the summer window. The Magpies have chased the emerging Turkish star and are confident of beating Barcelona for the 18-year-old’s signature.

Arda Guler is one of the most promising stars around the block. The 18-year-old has impressed onlookers with a breakthrough season with Fenerbahce, notching 6 goals and 6 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. The attacking midfielder hence has no shortage of suitors, with a host of top clubs vying for his signature.

His contract reportedly had a cut-price release clause, which has not been dissolved following the 2022-23 season. He could now cost a £20 million-plus fee for suitors keen on his services. Newcastle United are among those chasing him alongside Barcelona, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Guler has shown he has a long future ahead and the willingness to work hard. Clubs are keen to acquire him and aid his development, with Newcastle United the club in pole position as things stand. Reports suggested the Magpies officials flew in to hold talks with Guler and his representatives.

The meeting reportedly was held in the middle east, with the club showcasing their intention with the youngster. They feel he can have an instant impact in England, but they might look to loan him out for next season. Whether that’s what the player wants remains the question, but the Magpies will look for a club where he plays regularly.

Newcastle may have to fork out the £20 million-plus fee, which may not represent a problem for them. Moreover, they are confident of beating Barcelona, their closest rivals for Guler. The Catalans have registered an interest and could proceed with an official approach.

Xavi Hernandez rates the player highly and might push President Joan Laporta to make the deal happen. Yet, they have financial problems, which may take some time to resolve, as Newcastle United could take advantage of the situation.

For now, the Magpies are favourites to land the attacking midfielder from Fenerbahce. They might feel aggrieved having to pay extra than before, but there’s optimism a deal will conclude

REPORT SUGGESTS NEWCASTLE COULD NOW MOVE FOR £43M PLAYMAKER

Newcastle United are interested in signing Lyon star Rayan Cherki but they could face a battle with Paris Saint-Germain.

Lyon are expecting a tug-of-war between both Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain for playmaker Rayan Cherki.

That is according to But! Football Club over in France, who claim that Lyon could lose a number of players this summer.

Lyon may target ‘one very big sale’ this summer with Cherki potentially on his way out.

It’s stated that a price of around €50million (£43million) has been placed on Cherki’s head this summer.

However, the hope is that PSG and Newcastle will get into a bidding war and drive the price up a little.

The only real logic for that is that Newcastle have rich owners and may be willing to splash the cash after reaching the Champions League.

That’s a reasonable idea but we think Newcastle may actually have other targets in mind than Cherki, who played alongside Bruno Guimaraes at Lyon.

James Maddison and Dominik Szoboszlai appear to be the top targets for Newcastle as they seek to add a playmaker this summer.

Cherki may well be on the list but seeing Newcastle head into a bidding war for him would be a huge surprise.

Who is Newcastle United target Rayan Cherki?
Cherki was born in Lyon and has been coming up through the ranks of his hometown club since the age of just six.

Long tipped for stardom, Cherki has now become a first-team regular with more than 100 appearances to his name.

Cherki has bagged 14 goals and 16 assists in that time, including five goals and six assists last season.

Primarily a number 10, Cherki has also played on the flanks for Lyon, showing the versatility to play on either wing.

A skilful player with enormous potential, 19-year-old Cherki has been hailed as ‘exceptional’ by Lyon boss Laurent Blanc.

Cherki is being backed for a huge future with plenty of French international caps, but he can also switch to play for Italy or Morocco if he so wishes.

Newcastle will have their eyes on top talents all over the world and Cherki may well be one of them.

Newcastle: Magpies “favourites” for Dominik Szoboszlai

The RB Leipzig midfielder is believed to have been made a primary target by PIF and Eddie Howe at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle United have emerged as “firm favourites” to bring RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai to the Premier League, according to journalist Bence Bocsak.

Is Dominik Szoboszlai leaving RB Leipzig?
Eddie Howe is reportedly looking to bolster his central ranks during the upcoming window and has highlighted the 22-year-old as a player that he would like to try and bring to the northeast in the weeks and months ahead.

Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg recently revealed that the Hungary international is “aware” of the “concrete interest” from PIF and Eddie Howe who have made him a “top target” after previously sending scouts to watch him twice within the space of a fortnight.

Marco Rose’s talisman has openly admitted that he “dreams” of joining a “big club” and named England as one of three countries alongside Spain and Germany as a possible destination, and despite there also being interest from Liverpool, it sounds like the black and white stripes are the ones currently in pole position.

Are Newcastle signing Szoboszlai?
Taking to Twitter, Bocsak claimed that Newcastle are leading the race to land Szoboszlai who is apparently attracted by the ongoing project at St. James’ Park. He wrote:

“My latest info on Szoboszlai. Leipzig are willing to reluctantly let him go. Many parties interested, but no one ready to pay his €70m [£60m] release clause. #NUFC are firm favourites, and their project is appealing. He also has other interest from Spain and PL. #LFC like him, but not in the race at this stage.”

Newcastle going to the lengths that they have in their pursuit of Szoboszlai shows just how serious they are about securing his services, and having been dubbed a “magician” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, PIF should 100% cash out on the attacking midfielder.

The EM Sports Consulting client clocked up 14 goal contributions (eight assists and six goals) in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season and as recognition for his high standard of performances, received four man-of-the-match awards.

The Champions League participant was also a constant threat even when he wasn’t on the scoresheet during the previous term, recording 150 shot-creating actions which was higher than any of his teammates and 117 crosses which was the second-biggest total throughout his squad, as per FBRef.

Szoboszlai, who has the versatility to operate in seven different positions in midfield and attack, is additionally appreciated on the international stage having been named Hungary’s Footballer of the Year in 2022, so it would be a massive coup for the Magpies boss should he successfully land his target.
