The Ghana international played a pivotal role as West Ham United came from behind to defeat FK TSC Bačka Topola

3-1 in our UEFA Europa League Group A opener.

While the Hammers dominated possession throughout, they found themselves behind when Petar Stanić took

advantage of a defensive slip to run through and give the Serbian side a 47th minute lead.

The Hammers picked themselves up, with Kudus forcing an own goal from Nemanja Petrović before adding a goal

which was undisputedly his, converting James Ward-Prowse’s corner with 20 minutes to go.

When Tomáš Souček added a third eight minutes from time it completed was turned out to be a comfortable victory

for the Hammers – the ideal result for Kudus on his first start in Claret and Blue.

Mohammed Kudus provided the inspiration for the comeback, forcing an own goal from Nemanja Petrović on 66

Tomáš Souček’s header from another Ward-Prowse corner completed was was ultimately a comfortable victory in

east London.

Just 12 hours on from the conclusion of our first UEFA Europa League group stage match of the season, we are

already shifting gears and once again thinking about Premier League football.

Despite the late finish at London Stadium, manager David Moyes is already in the building here at the West Ham
United training ground at Rush Green and is hard at work with his coaching staff preparing for Sunday’s Premier
League visit to Liverpool.

West Ham United exit for Divine Mukasa to be formally completed today once Man City finalise documents – Fabrizio Romano

Taking to X (22 September), Romano revealed that the deal has been formally completed and documents have been

signed, with just the official announcement remaining.

The 16-year-old Mukasa was been a regular for West Ham’s under-18 side last season and will join Manchester

United’s Harrison Parker with a move to the Etihad.

It looks like West Ham will be losing one of the stars of their youth academy to the Premier League champions.

At just 16 years of age, Mukasa would certainly be one for the future for any club he plays for, but the fact that City

have deemed him good enough for their growing youth academy speaks volumes about his potential.

side, claiming a goal and an assist.

Elsewhere, he emerged as a regular for England’s under-16 side, making nine appearances and scoring 3 goals

[Transfermarkt].

With such pedigree at such a young age, Hammers fans will be disappointed to see him go, but for Mukasa

personally, the chance to move to the Champions League holders and join another of England’s finest academies is an

opportunity he can’t be faulted for taking.

He will have to work hard, however.

Breaking into Manchester City’s first team is much tougher than the Hammers, but City’s frequent use of loans may

see Mukasa earn plenty of minutes in his young career.

For now, he will likely remain in Manchester before any loan, but the future looks bright for the teenager.
