Live press conference with Pep Guardiola: Man City vs. Manchester United squad news, perhaps include Savinho’s debut.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will speak to the media on Friday afternoon ahead of the Community Shield vs Manchester United.

Both Manchester teams will return to Wembley on Saturday for a rerun of the FA Cup final from the previous season, with the Premier League only one week away.

This time around, Manchester City will be vying for the Community Shield in an attempt to exact revenge on their neighbors following their devastating loss in May.

Manchester United won the trophy thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo; Jeremy Doku’s late rally was insufficient to change the outcome.

Even if it’s only a glitzy friendly, the Community Shield provides City an opportunity to bounce back from their defeat and gain confidence before taking on Chelsea in the season’s first match.

The team may sign a summertime player. Following his transfer from Troyes, Savinho made his debut for City. The Brazilian, who skipped the tour of America, reunited with his colleagues this week.

Before leaving for London on Friday, Pep Guardiola will likely be requested to provide a squad news update. It is doubtful that Phil Foden, John Stones, Kyle Walker, and Rodri will be involved.
